Video editing suites typical setup

The system setup is typically like the diagram below.

Don't worry if you don't have facilities similar to what has been shown. We understand that not every School or College has exactly the same space.

The diagram shows a typical layout for a standard classroom but science labs and gyms can be fitted out as shown in the images on the left. (Click to enlarge)

The observation room gives the editor a first hand view of the classroom environment but the observation room can be located remote from the classroom.

For good acoustics and camera views we suggest that the room be fitted with a false ceiling. Ceiling heights vary depending on type of camera , room dimensions and environment.

Blinds for the windows give the ability to control the light levels in the room.

Equipment

Cameras high resolution colour cameras ceiling mounted.
Optional tripod camera to give a eye line view from the editing room.
Microphones super sensitive boundary microphone to pick up every comment
Optional radio lapel microphone to pick up the voice of just the lecture
Control fully controllable cameras with video and audio selection.   
Computer P.C based editing and recording. The editing software used is Adobe Premiere

Recording  of live video and audio directly on to hard disk.
